Google Android 8.0 Oreo – A Powerful, Smarter and Efficient Mobile OS Android Oreo is official, and this version of the software was announced by Google late last night in New York. Android Oreo is also known as Android 8.0 and will eventually be rolled out to smartphones and devices across the world. Except of course, there’s the problem of Android fragmentation, which means that not all Android phones will get upgraded to Android Oreo. Many smartphones are still on Android M, which is nearly two years old, considering it was first launched in 2015.Google will also deliver its Android 8.0 to smart phones by the end of the year as it is working with its partners including HTC, HMD (Nokia), Kyocera, LG, General Mobile and Motorola as well as Sony, Samsung, Sharp and Huawei.
